Barbara Boxer to leave Senate

California Sen. Barbara Boxer says four terms in the Senate is enough and she will not seek re-election in 2016. Ms. Boxer, now 74, has been in the Senate since 1993. She had been a member of Congress for the ten years prior to that and earlier was a Marin County supervisor for six years. She was reelected to her fourth term in the Senate in 2010. She did not announce specifics about her plans for the future but says she is not retiring from advocating for her causes. <more>
