Danny Drumonde
Field Representative for Merced, Madera, Fresno, and Kings Counties
Throughout his entire career, Daniel Drumonde Sr. has worked in the agriculture industry. Both sets of his grandparents emigrated from the Azores Islands to the United States and started dairies of their own. As a young boy, Daniel began helping his grandparents and his father on the family dairy in Stevinson. Years later, he bought the cows from his father and continued the dairy for a number of years. He knows first-hand the challenges facing the dairy industry today; from economic to environmental issues, and is looking forward to serving the members of districts 6 and 7. Having earned his Pest Control Advisor License in 2010, together with his farming experience, Daniel’s expertise in the agriculture industry will be an asset to WUD members. Along with working on his family’s farming operation, Daniel worked as the Lead Water Distribution Operator for the Merquin County Water District for the past 11 years, putting him at the front and center of the water issues facing dairymen today. “Since I have dealt with the same issues that dairymen face today I understand their concerns and how the industry operates,” said Daniel. “I am extremely excited to join the Western United Dairymen team and look forward to serving the dairy families of districts 6 and 7.”
