Agricultural air emissions inventory subcommittee meets March 8
Members of the Agriculture Advisory Committee Emission Inventory Subcommittee of
the California Air Resource Board (CARB) will meet March 8 in Modesto to discuss
the growth factors used for projecting emissions from agricultural emission
sources. The meeting will be held at the Stanislaus County Farm Bureau, 1201 L
Street, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Responding to requests by several
agricultural groups, CARB is currently reviewing the growth factors used for
forecasting air emissions from agricultural sources in preparation for the 2007
eight-hour Ozone State Implementation Plans (SIPs). Staff is currently working
on gathering information on multiple methods for projecting growth surrogates as
suggested in the January 3, 2005, subcommittee meeting. The options will be
presented to the Emission Inventory Subcommittee on March 8. Further information
is available from CARB by calling Mike FitzGibbon at (916) 445-6243.
